Ningxia Hui
Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, which is called “Ning” for short, is located in Northwest China and the middle reaches of the Yellow River. Its capital is Yinchuan. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is on the famous ancient “Silk Road” which historically was an important traffic and trade pass between the east and the west.
I. Development Overview of the Social Economy in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region
1. An abundant commodity grain base. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region mainly abounds in spring wheat, rice, corn, Chinese cabbage, sugar beet, watermelon, etc.
2. It is the famous fur sheep feeding area in China. As we know, the sheep kivskin produced in the irrigation district and Shaomao Mountain fur produced in Xiang Mountain, in Zhongwei County, are best-in-class.
3. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is rich in minerals such as coal, iron, silicon, gypsum, etc..The high-quality coal is distributed to 90% of the counties in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The anthracite coal produced in Rujigou District is sold to Western Europe.
II. Development Overview of the SMEs in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region: By 2008, 401,301 persons were employed to serve 215,071 individual proprietors in the secondary and tertiary industries in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, including 49,556 persons (making up 12.3%) serving 15,748 individual proprietors in the secondary industry and 351,745 persons (making up 87.7%) serving 199,323 individual proprietors in the tertiary industry, accounting for 7.3% and 92.7% respectively. Therefore, the employees serving the individual proprietors in the tertiary industry have a dominant position.
Learn from experience and make more explorations, upgrade CSMEF to CISMEF, better promote the development and cooperation between ChineseSMEs and those of other countries.
