Jiangxi

Jiangxi is called “Gan“ for short. Jiangxi has possessed profound human culture and rich and plentiful products ever since the ancient times and therefore is recognized as the “land of essay and white crane, fish and rice”.
I. Development Overview of the Social Economy in Jiangxi Province
１．Rich plant species. The typical plants during different evolution stages of the plant system are distributed in Jiangxi Province. Rich plant resources fully prove that the subtropical zone in China, including Jiangxi Province, is one of the centers of origin of the modern flora.
２．Abundant mineral resources. Jiangxi Province is not only one of the bases full of non-ferrous metals, rare metals and rare earth, but also one of the provinces with higher mineral resources matching degree in China. 
３．Good eco-environment; its forest coverage reaches up to 60%, which ranks first place in China.
II. Development Overview of the SMEs in Jiangxi Province: By 2004, there were 22,625 private enterprises in Jiangxi, accounting for 69.7% of the enterprises in Jiangxi. The operating revenues of the individual proprietors amounted to RMB58,368,000,000. 659 private building enterprises were registered, which accounted for 30.1% and contributed RMB8,018,000,000 of operating revenues.
