Anhui
Anhui, situated in the hinterland of Eastern China, is an inland province near the sea in Eastern China, which runs across the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Huai River, joins Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the east, connects Hubei and He’nan to the west, neighbors Jiangxi to the south, and adjoins Shandong to the north.
I. Development Overview of the Social Economy in Anhui Province
Abundant resources. 138 kinds of minerals have been discovered in Anhui Province, and reserves of 105 kinds of minerals have been proven.
The secondary industry is developed and plays a leading role. The industry bases and key projects have made great progress.
The resource-oriented deep processing industry is developed and focuses on forwarding development of “Two Mountains and One Lake” travel, in order to improve the economic and social development level in the southern part of Anhui Province.
II. Development Overview of the SMEs in Anhui Province: By 2007, the tax income paid by the non-public economy entities amounted to RMB40,150,000,000, accounting for 37.5% of all tax income in Anhui Province, an increase of 76.6% over 2005. The fiscal revenues of the parks of the county level totaled RMB6,230,000,000, increasing by 58.6%, making up 25.1% of those of the county (city, district) level.
