According to the journalists, the 6th CISMEF is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province from September 22 to 25, 2009, and Spain is invited to act as the host of the 6th CISMEF. In the face of spreading global financial crisis, this CISMEF will focus on how to help the small and medium-sized enterprise to tide over the “hard times”.

Spain is invited to act as Co-host Country of this CISMEF 

It is reported that the 6th CISMEF will continued to be sponsored by the “Seven Ministries and One Province”, and the main leader of the sponsors will act as director-general of the Organizing Committee of the CISMEF. In order to implement the Joint Statement of the Kingdom of Spain and the People's Republic of China on Further Deepening an All-around Strategic Partnership”, the China-Spain SMEs Fair will be held along with the 6th CISMEF.

One of the key highlights of the 6th CISMEF is that it is co-sponsored by China and Spain. The CISMEF provides a platform for the SMEs of the two countries to exhibit and exchange their products and technologies. During the period of CISMEF, China-Spain SMEs Summit Forum will be held for enhancing the communication and contact and advancing the complementary cooperation and exchanges between the SMEs of the two countries to fully tap the huge potential of the SMEs cooperation and build a bright future.

In addition, the 6th CISMEF will achieve the perfect combinations of the exhibition of the enterprises from both the host countries and other countries, enterprise exhibition and trade talks, manufacturing industry and service industry, import and export, special exhibition and exposition and the exhibition of choice products and other generic products. The CISMEF is distinguished from a traditional fair by its unique advantages.

5,000 International Standard Booths

In terms of the scale, 5000 international standard booths will be set up at the CISMEF, in which 4000 booths are allocated to the domestic enterprises and 1000 to overseas enterprises. The industries exhibition zones are designed for exhibiting electronic information & IT products, household appliances, mechanical equipment, energy & environmental protection products, consumer goods and building materials, and special exhibition zones includes the zones of SME services, financial services, retail chain enterprises, Spanish zone, Asia-European SMEs cooperation and exchange, international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, etc.

According to the report, the objective of the CISMEF is to construct a comprehensive fair covering the major sectors and products for SMEs. As the participants of the CISMEF are the SMEs from China and the rest of the world, the coverage of the CISMEF is very extensive. Additionally, In order to achieve the best effect of exhibition, the CISMEF is divided into the exhibition zones based on the industries, each gallery has the brand exhibition zone, highlighting the special and choice products exhibition. As the CISMEF entertains both extensive and special exhibitions, the participating SMEs can fully display their strengths and features and see the whole situation at the CISMEF.

Besides the exhibitions of the products, technologies, management and services of the SMEs, trade talks and trading, the 6th CISMEF will host a series of support activities, such as China-Spain SMEs Summit Forum, investment and financing negotiations, outsourcing presentation, information technology application promotion and projects presentation, etc.

Smooth Progress in Preparation

It is reported that the Organizing Committee has formulated its master plan and a program for implementing the major events, and has communicated with Spain. Spain attaches great importance to the 6th CISMEF & China-Spain SMEs Fair; they will set up a Spain Exhibition Hall and mobilize more than 200 enterprises to take part in the Fair. At the same time, they will extend close cooperation for successfully sponsoring the China-Spain SMEs Summit Forum and China-Spain Business Talks and other important activities.

In addition, before the opening of CISMEF & China-Spain SMEs Fair, and during the period of the fair, the secretariat of the Organizing Committee will organize domestic SMEs and SMEs from Spain to exchange idea and bridge cooperation, and organize the SMEs from the provinces of China to conduct business talks with the overseas SMEs at the CISMEF & China-Spain SMEs Fair. After the end of the CISMEF & China-Spain SMEs Fair, tracing services will be provided for the business negotiations started and cooperation projects discussed during the CISMEF & China-Spain SMEs Fair. All activities and projects will be presented on the website of the CISMEF for building a permanent “Online CISMEF”
