The 6th China International SME Fair & China-Spain SME Fair (hereinafter referred to as the 6th CISMEF) is scheduled to be held on September 22, 2009 in Guangzhou. Recently, the Organizing Committee went to Sichuan to present the projects. The journalists learned from the presentation that the 6th CISMEF is sponsored by China and Spain. 1000 overseas enterprises and 4000 domestic enterprises will participate in the CISMEF. Special exhibition areas like the Exhibition Area for Spanish Enterprises and Exhibition Area for Asian-European SME Cooperation and Exchange will be set up. At the same time, the SME investment projects for the earthquake-hit areas will be presented.

Zhang Guobin, vice director-general of SME Bureau of Sichuan Province, said that his province has organized more than 390 enterprises to participate in the CISMEF since the first CISMEF in 2004, the total value of the transactions concluded at the CISMEF is RMB2.118 billion, the Province takes the leading position in the scale of participating enterprises and the value of concluded transactions among the western provinces of China. At the 6th CISMEF, the SME investment projects for the earthquake-hit area will be presented for helping the SMEs there to better tackle the financial crisis. In addition, activities such as the talks for SME financing, the briefing of SME procurement and China-Spain SME Summit Forum, etc, will be held.
