Recently, journalists learned from the 6th CISMEF promotion meeting and the meeting on the arrangement of SME of Sichuan Province participating in the CISMEF that the 6th CISMEF is scheduled to be held from September 22 to 25, 2009 in Guangzhou. To support SMEs to take part in the CISMEF, the government of Sichuan Province has actively carried out the work of organizing SMEs to participate in the CISMEF.

Since the first CISMEF in 2004, the Province has organized more than 390 SMEs to participate in the consecutive five CISMEFs, the total value of the contracts concluded at the CISMEFs reached RMB2.118 billion, and the Province takes the leading position in the scale of participating enterprises and the value of concluded transactions among the western provinces of China. The 6th CISMEF is co-sponsored by the governments of China and Spain. Through the joint efforts of all parties, the total exhibition area exceeds 100,000 square meters. The industries exhibition zone for electronic information, household appliances, machinery and equipment, energy conservation and environmental protection, consumer products and building materials, etc, and exhibition zones for financial services, Spanish products, Asian-European SME exchange will be established.
