China and Spain Signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Organization of the 6th CISMEF by China and Spain - Reform and Development Section of SMEs Bureau

After close negotiations and joint effects of relevant departments from China and Spain, Mr. Huang Huahua, Director of the CISMEF Organizing Committee & Governor of Guangdong Province and Mr. Miguel Sebastián, Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of the Kingdom of Spain entered into the Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Organization of the 6th CISMEF by China and Spain in the Municipal Conference Center in Madrid, Spain in the morning on October 28th, 2008.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Xu Shangwu, Secretary General of the provincial government. Mr. Qiu Xiaoqi, an ambassador of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Yang Jianchu, Director of the CISMEF Organizing Committee Secretariat and Guangdong Economic and Trade Commission and main responsible persons from relevant departments directly under the people’s government attended the signing ceremony.

Guangdong Delegation led by Mr. Huang Huahua visited Madrid, which promoted friendly exchange and cooperation between our province and Spain. Conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Organization of the 6th CISMEF by China and Spain was given top priority. Mr. Pedro Solbes, Deputy Prime Minister & Finance Minister expressed his earnest expectation and high appreciation of joint organization of the 6th CISMEF by China and Spain during the meeting with Mr. Huang Huahua.

Spain will be the third CISMEF co-hosting country from Europe after France and Italy. Considering there are many developed SMEs in Spain, we can refer to advanced experience in respect to support and promotion of development of SMEs, especially for financing.
