Geographic Location of Guangzho
Guangzhou is the capital and a political, economic, and cultural centerof Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province and in the north of the Pearl River Delta.Crossed by the Tropic of Cancer, it is located between longitude 112°57' to 114°3' east and latitude 22°26' to 23°56' north, bordering on the South China Sea , adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao. It is a regional central city in South China, and China's Southern Gateway to the world.
Getting to Guangzhou
Plane
Guangzhou has Southern Airlines, Air China, Eastern Airlines, other major domestic airlines and a number of foreign airlines. The Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has over 50 inter- national flight lines and 100 domestic flight lines. The terminal can handle 100 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo per year.
Taxi is the most convenient and fast choice, but it’s high cost. There is a taxi queue outside the arrival hall. A trip downtown normally costs around RMB 150.00.
A trip to Canton Fair from Baiyun International Airport normally costs around RMB 160.00.
The first stage project of China Import and Export Fair Complex covers a ground area of 430,000 square meters with the structural area of 395,000 square meters. The Complex has been in operation since the end of 2002, being the largest exhibition center in Asia.
Train
The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway passes Guangzhou, the main north-south line through China , starting from the Beijing West Railway Station, through 98 cities and counties of Beiing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Shandong Province, Henan Province, Anhui Province, Hubei Province, J iangxi Province and Gunagdong Province, ending at Kowloon of Hong Kong.Guangzhou Railway Station is located on Huangshi West Rd northwest of the city. It can be reached by Metro Line 2 and public buses.
Twelve pairs a day from Hong Kong to Guangzhou for 1.5 hours onlyDirect access to Canton Fair venues by interchanging metro at Guangzhou East Station .
Both Railway stations have directly tunnels lead to metro. In Guangzhou Railway Station take Line 2 to Wan Sheng Wei, get off at Xin Gang Dong Station and go out through A exit or get off at Pazhou Station and go out through A exit.
