The 14th CISMEF China SME Summit is held in Guangzhou

Zhang Feng, Party Group Member and Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Yuan Baocheng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, Lindiwe Zulu, Minister of Department of Small Business Development of South Africa and Philippe Schottes, Managing Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization attended and addressed the forum.
In his speech, Zhang Feng introduced Law of the People’s Republic of China on Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises promulgated by the Chinese government again after amendment and other initiatives, which provide a strong support for the innovation and development of SMEs and have made remarkable achievements. He hoped that the participants present may embrace the new economy and lead the new thinking to jointly contribute to innovation, transformation and upgrading development of SMEs and create broad prospects for international cooperation of SMEs.
Yuan Baocheng expressed sincere welcome to the participants present on behalf of the Guangdong Provincial Government and introduced the development situation of private economy in Guangdong with SMEs as the core. He said that SMEs have made outstanding contributions to speed up the economic transformation and upgrading and promote sustained and healthy economic and social development in Guangdong Province. Guangdong will earnestly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping to effectively reduce the business operation and development costs, support enterprises to carry out technological transformation, promote construction of the service-oriented government, and strive to provide enterprises with better development environment and development opportunities and reshape advantages of Guangdong in terms of business environment.
Lindiwe Zulu and Philippe Schottes introduced their policies and measures released in recent years to promote the sustained development of SMEs, respectively, and stressed the significance of various countries further strengthening international cooperation.
Subsequently, Edith Fries, the Director General of the Department of Small Business Development of South Africa,Lyubomudrov Maxim, Deputy Director General of the Russian Small and Medium Business Corporation, Guan Tongxian, founder of Shanghai zhenhua Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd, Zhou Yong, vice president of Guangzhou Shiyuan ElectronicsCo.,Ltd, Zhang Zhaolin, President of HBC Consulting and other well-known experts and entrepreneurs from home and abroad delivered keynote speeches on such topics as the empowerment and development of SMEs under the new economic and business forms, practice of innovation and change and the entrepreneurial spirit in the background of the new era, and attended a round-table dialogue related to the theme of the forum with Zhan Wenming, scientist of Peter F. Drucker, Hao Jumin, CSO of Guangdong Manufacturing and Innovation Center and other participants. The speakers actively shared their latest research results and successful experience to promote the SMEs present to innovate their thinking and open up their horizons and offer the audience a wonderful feast of ideas.
More than 700 people, including person in charge of SMEs component departments from the provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and various cities of Guangdong, the consulates of various countries in Guangdong, representatives of Chinese and foreign SMEs and media reporters attended the forum.
